The architects of AD9 designed “lvs.house” for a family who wanted all public and private spaces to be as open as possible to bring their two young children closer together and easily control their activities. The project uses vertically oriented light and air circulation through a combination of skylights and a central atrium that connects the natural elements with the people who inhabit it. Lush greenery and small trees have been strategically placed in certain parts of the building, further enhancing the interior’s laid-back minimalist vibe.
“We aimed for a minimalist use of materials in this building, hoping to revive the core values of the underlying architecture and lead to a better and more active family life,” said AD9 architects. flickering lantern.
